Red Sea Print

Red Sea Print
In the fifth painting of The Surrender Collection, we see Moses and Aaron embarking on the treacherous walk through the parted Red Sea. Similar to the incident at the Nile River, Moses is instructed by G-d to use the staff to split the sea, allowing the Hebrews to cross safely. Moses is leaning backward, astounded by the tremendous force and power moving through him. Aaron, on the other hand, takes the first step forward. Their body compositions create a downward “v” shape, mirroring the parted sea with elevated waves.
