The pièce de résistance of The Surrender Collection embodies the main philosophical question explored by this collection: what happens at the moment of two seemingly contradicting fates? We see the hieroglyphs on one side, carved over centuries to preserve the histories and victories of Egyptian dynasties, and on the other side, we see the excerpt from the Book of Exodus where G-d tells Moses he will free His people from Egypt.
